City Of Hope Visit
Leanne, Curti, and I meet with Dr. Lee at the City of Hope today. He did say that he had some other things to check and some more Meds that might go in the IV when I am getting my chemo. He is going to reach out to my current Oncologist and check with him. He also gave us a list of GI’s so we might be able to get that done sooner than later.
I asked him if I would know when I was getting closer to dying. Maybe I start to feel really sick or something. He said not really. I would get an infection and die the following day. He did confirm with Dr. Pow that I could have 2 to 3 years. I still believe in prayers and am going to say I will not give up and plan for 5+ years. Just love my life, my family and friends way too much.
We also talked about how the cancer gets resisted to chemo at one point and chemo will no longer work. He gave an example. It is like antibiotics and the more you take the less effective they become.
Not feeling perfect, but much better and most of the last 5 days, I would say I feel good. I can walk around and do little activities before I need to rest. So that is great that every other week I might feel good and spend more quality time with my wife and not just be in the house. Maybe take a walk and do stuff out of the house.
